From the workbench
Gnomewright started the way most good workshops do, with one printer, a pile of paint, and too many ideas for one tabletop. Every wall, ruin, and dungeon tile starts as hard geometry in Fusion 360, then gets roughed up and given character in Blender, with cracks, moss, and weathering that make a wall look like it actually survived a siege.
Gnomewright is a solo gnome workshop based in the north woods, which means every piece that leaves the shop has actually been designed, printed, and painted by the same set of hands, not a warehouse and not a print farm.
We're just starting out, but we're looking forward to growing this into something bigger, a full catalog of printable designs and a real community of builders trading ideas, tricks, and encouragement along the way.
Projects
A growing catalog of original terrain builds. Each one will be offered two ways, as a printable file and as a finished, hand painted piece.
Nothing shown here is available for purchase just yet. STL files are headed to Thangs, and finished, hand painted pieces are being prepared for sale on Etsy soon.
Printed pieces may vary slightly from the photos shown and can include small imperfections that are a normal part of the three dimensional printing process.
Every finished piece is painted by hand, so each one is one of a kind and may look slightly different from the photos shown.
Most projects on this page are built to a rough one quarter inch scale. This is a rough estimate only, meant as a general guide for size and comparison rather than an exact measurement. Pieces are not designed to an exact scale.

Conventions
Twin Cities Con is the first stop on the calendar, running November 20 through 22, 2026 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. More events to be announced throughout 2027. A full vendor booth setup is planned to begin in 2027 as well. Visit the Twin Cities Con website for details.
